Scarlet Lady
I sailed on a five-night Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady cruise in 2022 that visited Puerto Plata and Bimini.
Cruising on Scarlet Lady, the flagship of Virgin Voyages, is an unforgettable experience. This stunning cruise ship offers a wide range of activities, all-included dining options that cater to every traveler’s taste and some unique entertainment including drag shows and DJ club focused events.
Booking
I booked Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady in a Lock it in Rate which promised a limited view Sea Terrace or Balcony Room. The room had a comfortable bed that converted to a couch as well as a balcony. Because the balcony was limited view, it meant that there was a life boat that blocked over 50% of the view of the ocean.
The cruise was booked for $2,200 for two people and it included all the gourmet dining as well as WiFi during the trip. I loaded $300 in bar tab to cover coffee and beverages not included with the cruise.
Virgin Voyages offers free soda and drip coffee as part of their basic beverages that are included in the cruise fare. Barista made coffee and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are sold individually.
Virgin Voyages does not offer a beverage package, but often sells cruise fares that include bar tab that you can use however you would like.
I flew to Miami using miles and points and stayed in a hotel near the airport using miles and points for the night before the cruise.

Four things I loved about Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady
After sailing on Scarlet Lady, I found four things that stood out that made the cruise memorable. The following four things that I loved about Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady!
1. Amazing Gourmet Food
One of the most notable things about Scarlet Lady is the quality of its gourmet food. The ship’s dining options include over 20 restaurants, ranging from casual cafes to fine dining establishments. Each restaurant has its own unique menu, featuring dishes from around the world. The chefs onboard are experts at their craft and use only the freshest ingredients to create culinary masterpieces.
My personal favorite was the Wake restaurant, which offers an excellent menu with steak and seafood.
Another highlight was the Test Kitchen, which is a culinary laboratory that allows passengers to participate in cooking demonstrations and classes.
2. Awesome Day at the Virgin Voyages Beach Club on Bimini Island
The Virgin Voyages Beach Club on Bimini Island is a paradise-like destination that offers a day of relaxation and fun. When one of the Virgin Voyages ships are in port in Bimini, the beach club is exclusively for Virgin Voyages Passengers. The Virgin Voyages Beach Club features a stunning white-sand beach, crystal-clear waters, and a range of amenities, including beach loungers, umbrellas, and water sports equipment. There is a awesome pool with DJ tunes throughout the day.
At the beach club, passengers can enjoy a range of activities such as snorkeling, paddle boarding, and beach volleyball. The beach club also has a bar and restaurant that serves delicious Caribbean-inspired cuisine and refreshing cocktails.
When Virgin Voyages is not in port at Bimini you can spend time at the Beach Club by visiting Beach Club 360 for some of the same benefits as sailing with Virgin Voyages; however, it is likely not as fun! You can generally book Beach Club 360 from the other cruise line.

3. Gourmet Barista Made Coffee from Intelligentsia Coffee
For coffee lovers like myself, Scarlet Lady offers an exceptional coffee experience. The ship features an onboard café called The Grounds Club, which serves gourmet coffee from Intelligentsia Coffee, one of the world’s top coffee roasters.
The baristas at The Grounds Club are experts at their craft and can create a range of coffee drinks, including cappuccinos, lattes, and cold brews. They also offer a range of non-coffee drinks, including herbal teas and fresh juices.
4. Amazing Songs from Talented Singer and Performer Selkii
Scarlet Lady offers a range of entertainment options, but one of the highlights for me was the performances by the talented singer and performer Selkii. Selkii is a finalist from The Voice, and her performances onboard Scarlet Lady are nothing short of amazing.

Selkii performed each evening near On the Rocks the Martini and Cocktail Bar on Scarlet Lady.
Selkii performs a range of songs, including covers of popular hits and her own original music. Her performances are engaging and interactive, and she has a powerful voice that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
I loved sitting in the lounge and listening and singing along to her music.
