This article is Carnival Introduces New Vegan Menu. It is about menu changes onboard Carnival.
The featured image is from Carnival Cruise Line.
Cruises are well known for having great meal options.
From hundreds of items on the buffet to multiple main dining venues, cruises offer a lot of meal options.
For those that have dietary restrictions such as gluten free or vegan that often meant some very basic meal options on many cruise lines.
Fortunately, that is changing for vegan options on Carnival.
Vegan Menu Rollout
Carnival announced an updated Vegan menu including options for appetizers, main courses and desserts.
The new vegan menu was introduced on Carnival Magic and Carnival Dream.
The menu will soon be available on Carnival Valor, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Panorama and Mardi Gras by the end of September, 2023.
In October, Carnival will roll out the menus on Carnival Celebration, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Glory, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Vista, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Elation.
By the end of the year Carnival will roll the menu out to Carnival Paradise, Carnival Spirit, Carnival legend, Carnival Venezia and will offer it on the new ship Carnival Jubilee.
Carnival did not confirm the exact dates of the roll out for each ship but said that they will be completed by the end of the year.
Appetizers
The new appetizers include the following options:
- Hawaiian Salmon Poke – a refreshing starter that combines plant-based salmon, edamame, mango and cucumber.
- Stuffed Mushrooms – four fried mushrooms, stuffed with delicious plant-based cheeses and spinach.
- Spaghetti Carbonara – a flavorful pasta with vegan bacon, onion ,and garlic, this dish can be a starter or entrée.
The Salmon Poke bowl looks amazing and so much better then the vegan options I saw on my recent Carnival sailing.
Entrees
The new vegan entrees include the following options:
- Grilled Tofu Steak – a savory tofu steak covered in honey barbecue sauce, accompanied by a Hasselback potato and mixed vegetables.
- Baked Vegetable Au Gratin – a medley of mixed vegetables, combined with vol-au-vent and sprinkled with melted plant-based cheeses.
- Eggplant Cutlet a la Parmigiana – a tasty entrée, covered in savory vegan mozzarella, topped with pesto and basil leaves.
The tofu steak looks like some of the entrees I saw on my recent sailing. The new option across the fleet will be excellent.
I am a big fan of eggplant pharm so it will be a great addition to the menu to guests with the vegan cheese.
Desserts
The new Vegan menu includes the following desert options:
- Key Lime Velvet Cake – a fruity spin on the classic, this cake combines flavors of citrus with raspberry and strawberry.
- Dutch Double Chocolate Pave – with alternating layers of cake and buttercream frosting, this dessert is a chocolate lover’s dream.
- Cappuccino Pot de Créme – a treat with coffee flavors, surrounding cinnamon crème chantilly.
Key Lime cake could be interesting for a change from typical red velvet cake!
New Menu
The new menu looks like it will be good. For those with diet restrictions and wanting to eat healthier this is a refreshing announcement from Carnival.
