Royal Caribbean Spectrum Sailings from China

Royal Caribbean is headed back to China and they are deploying Spectrum of the Seas! Guests will be able to cruise in Asia on this popular ship. Its been a number of years since I was in China. At the time I was traveling for work and visited Shanghai. It was fun city to visit being on the water offered some great views!

Norwegian Encore Bar Guide and Menus

Some friends of mine, Don and Heidi at Eatsleepcruise recently went on an Alaskan cruise with Norwegian. Here they put together a great guide on the bars on the ship as well as suggested items to order! The Sugarcain Mojito drinks look pretty amazing! I am sailing on Norwegian in Europe soon, I will have to see if some of these drinks are available on my sailing!

I try to bring along reusable straws since the paper ones on cruises and at hotels are not very fun! These colorful ones from Amazon are a good option and they include cleaning tools.

New Tarragona Cruise Port Terminal

There may be a new cruise port in Spain that is about an hour and a half distance from Barcelona. While it sounds interesting to get to check out a new Spanish city, it will make travel from the airport at BCN to the port very difficult. It sounds like cruise ships have already been diverted there when the BCN cruise terminal is full which made for a stressful and expensive trip back to the airport. What do you think about this port?

WHAT’S THE BEST CREDIT CARD TO PAY FOR A CRUISE?

The author of this article poses a good question. I think it is best to use credit cards that earn transferable currency such as the Chase line of cards offering Ultimate Reward points or American Express Membership reward points since they give flexibility.

In the article the author talks about paying for their Virgin Voyages cruise. I just reviewed my experience on Scarlet Lady! You can check out the article here.
