This article is the 2026 relaunch of the Celebrity Solstice. It is about the eight new guest experiences and architectural updates unveiled on March 2, 2026, in Singapore.
The Celebrity Solstice has officially returned to service following a significant dry-dock modernization. The ship debuted its new look and amenities in Singapore, marking a shift in the Solstice-class experience. While the Solstice has long been a favorite for its lawn club and glass-blowing demonstrations, this update aligns the vessel more closely with the modern luxury standards seen in the newer Edge-class ships. My experience with the brand suggests that these updates are not merely cosmetic; they represent a fundamental change in how space is used on board.
I previously sailed on Celebrity Solstice for Mexico Cruise and wrote about the experience here.
The relaunch includes four brand-new venues, two new production shows, and a total of 54 new staterooms. These changes increase the ship’s total capacity to 1,479 cabins. The timing of this relaunch is strategically set ahead of the ship’s upcoming seasons in Alaska and its ambitious 110-night Grand Voyage.
The Singapore Debut and Global Trajectory

The revitalization was completed just before the March 2, 2026, departure from Singapore. I attended the inaugural events to see how the “Revolution” program: Celebrity’s fleet-wide upgrade initiative: has translated to this specific ship. The Solstice is currently navigating Asia and Australia before it transitions to the North American market.
For travelers looking to explore these regions, the Celebrity Cruises category on our site offers a deeper look at what to expect from the brand. This relaunch is a pivotal moment for the ship as it prepares for a high-occupancy summer season in Alaska.
1. Sunset Park: A New Top-Deck Destination
One of the most visible changes is the addition of Sunset Park. Located on the top deck, this area replaces sections of the traditional lawn with a more multi-functional social space. It features panoramic ocean views and is designed for relaxation and community engagement.
The space includes:
- Private cabanas with dedicated attendants.
- Areas for yoga and morning wellness sessions.
- Lawn games for afternoon entertainment.
- A stage for live acoustic music during sunset.
The cabanas are positioned specifically to maximize the wake view, which I found to be one of the best vantage points on the ship.

2. Trattoria Rossa: Authentic Italian Dining
Culinary updates are a central pillar of this relaunch. Trattoria Rossa is a brand-new specialty restaurant that introduces a different flavor profile to the ship. The menu focuses on Roman and Southern Italian cuisine.
During my visit, the emphasis on “authentic” was clear. The pasta is handmade daily, and the wine list is heavily curated from Italian vineyards. The atmosphere is casual yet refined, making it a versatile option for both families and couples. This venue replaces older, less utilized spaces, providing a more modern dining aesthetic that matches the current vibe of the Celebrity fleet.
3. Fine Cut Steakhouse Comes to Solstice Class

In a move to standardize the high-end dining experience, Celebrity has brought the Fine Cut Steakhouse to the Solstice. Previously a staple of the Edge-series ships, this restaurant is Forbes Travel Guide-rated and offers a premium carnivore-focused menu.
The restaurant features:
- 30-day dry-aged steaks.
- A wide selection of fresh seafood.
- Personalized tableside service.
The addition of Fine Cut elevates the Solstice’s specialty dining portfolio, giving guests a high-end alternative to the main dining room.
4. The Boulevard Lounge and Boulevard Bar
The ship now features the Boulevard Lounge, a 125-seat venue designed for all-day engagement. It serves as a hub for interactive entertainment, including piano bar singalongs, karaoke, and game shows.
Directly adjacent is the Boulevard Bar. This spot focuses on handcrafted cocktails and high-end spirits. The integration of these two spaces creates a seamless flow between entertainment and social drinking. It feels much more integrated than the previous layout, allowing guests to stay in one area for an entire evening’s worth of activity.
5. The Parlor: Sports and Gaming

For guests seeking a more active social environment, The Parlor is a new addition focused on sports and gaming. It is equipped with:
- Professional-grade billiards tables.
- Traditional dartboards.
- Large-screen televisions for live sporting events.
The Parlor addresses a previous gap in the Solstice’s entertainment offerings, providing a dedicated space for “pub-style” socialization that doesn’t rely solely on live music or theater shows.
6. New Theatre Productions: Smoke and Ivories & Rockumentary
The entertainment lineup has been completely refreshed with two headline shows in The Theatre.
- Smoke and Ivories: This production is a tribute to the piano bars and entertainment lounges of the 1950s. It blends high-level vocals with impressive acrobatics and choreography. It is a sophisticated show that leans into the “modern luxury” theme.
- Rockumentary: A high-energy live concert that recreates landmark rock performances. It covers several decades of music history and utilizes the ship’s upgraded lighting and sound technology.
Beyond the theater, the ship has introduced candle-lit concerts featuring string renditions of contemporary rock songs, which provides a more intimate musical experience in smaller lounges.

7. Refreshed Staterooms and New Categories

A significant portion of the dry-dock time was spent on the accommodations. Every existing stateroom received an upgrade, including new bedding, furniture, and technology interfaces.
More importantly, 54 new staterooms were added. These include four new categories:
- Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite: Features floor-to-ceiling windows that open to create a balcony-like feel.
- Panoramic Ocean View Suites: Offers expansive views without the exterior balcony space.
- Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View: A premium take on the standard ocean-view room.
For those interested in the most exclusive experience, The Retreat on Solstice now features a redesigned sundeck with an oversized hot tub and a fully refreshed private lounge.
8. The 110-Night Grand Voyage
The relaunch is the starting gun for the ship’s most ambitious itinerary yet. On September 13, 2026, the Celebrity Solstice will embark on a 110-night Grand Voyage.
This journey will visit:
- 49 distinct destinations.
- 24 different countries.
- Multiple overnight stays in key ports.
This voyage is designed for the serious traveler who wants to see the world without the stress of constant flying. It is a staggering amount of travel packed into a single booking. Planning Your Trip
The Celebrity Solstice is currently operating in Asia, but it will move to Alaska for the summer 2026 season. If you are planning an Alaskan cruise, these new amenities make the Solstice one of the most modern ships in the region. The addition of Sunset Park is particularly relevant for Alaska, as it provides a comfortable, sheltered place to view glaciers and wildlife.
