Delta Sky Club San Diego
This article is Delta Sky Club San Diego. It is an overview of my experience accessing the Delta Sky Club in Terminal 2 of San Diego airport.

Access
I accessed the Delta Sky Club San Diego thanks to my American Express card. I get access to Sky Clubs when I travel on Delta Airlines.
If you have the American Express Card or the Citi American Executive Card you can access the lounge thanks to the cards lounge access.
There is also a United Club at the airport.
No Priority Pass lounges are available at the San Diego airport.
Location
The Delta Sky Club San Diego is located on the upper level of Terminal 2 at the airport. The lounge is located above gate 47 and is in proximity to the center court area offering a large picture window overlooking the tarmac and runways.

Arrival
I arrived at the lounge and noted that the CLEAR check in was available.
You can use your fingerprint if you are registered for CLEAR to access the Sky Club
I approached the agent and provided my American Express card and used my fingerprints on the CLEAR reader.
The agent used my name and she thanked me for visiting the lounge and she welcomed me inside.
The lounge was approximately 60% occupied when I arrived.
Lounge Setup
The lounge was on the smaller side.
The best feature was the balcony deck that overlooked the large picture window.
You could sit in rocking chairs near the window and take in views of the tarmac and the Delta planes in the gate area.
During the visit it was foggy, so the view was limited.
The lounge featured a variety of seating throughout the lounge with various tables and chairs.
The bar was located near the entrance to the balcony.
A small business center with work stations was available in the back near the restrooms.
Food Options
The Delta Sky Club San Diego was offering breakfast items during my visit.
Hot oatmeal was available with a variety of toppings.
In addition, bagels, cinnamon bread, toast and pastries were available.
Yogurt and cereal with toppings were provided as well.
A Starbucks Coffee machine was located near the buffet area.
A small station was available near the balcony with fresh fruit and juice.
Lounge Experience
I took a seat on one of the rocking chairs overlooking the balcony.
The announcements from the terminal could be heard while sitting in this area as it was open air.
The rocking chair was comfortable.
An agent was noted to circulate the room and who greeted me and other guests.
I toasted a bagel and added chive and vegetable cream cheese from the buffet for breakfast.
The bagel was plain flavor and it was fresh and had a good taste and flavor. The cream cheese was rich and creamy, and it had a good vegetable taste.
I made a cappuccino from the Starbucks machine.
The espresso had a good flavor. The milk was creamy, and the drink had a good taste.
After I finished the food and drink, the agent greeted me and removed them. The agent asked if I needed anything further and made light conversation with me.
I relaxed for a few minutes before needing to head to the gate.
Departure
As I departed the lounge, an agent thanked me at the reception desk and she wished me a good day.
I noted a cool model airplane display near the reception desk.
I always find model airplanes fun.
The lounge was approximately 60% occupied when I departed.
Overall
It was a nice surprise finding the Delta Sky Club San Diego and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the rocking chair. The staff I interacted with was friendly and polite. It was cool that I could use my fingerprint thanks to CLEAR to check in at the reception desk. The espresso and bagel were enjoyable. It was a relaxing visit to the lounge.
