Alaska Board Room at LAX –
I recently took a mileage run weekend trip which originally included going cross country to New York and back; however, due to the East Coast Snowstorm, it ended up being two nights in San Francisco.

Weekend Mileage Run Trip Report – Alaska Airlines Board Room at LAX T6
My flight from Los Angeles to Phoenix departed out of terminal 6. Within that terminal there is an Alaska Airlines Board Room. The Board Room is a Priority Pass Lounge. I decided to make a brief visit to the lounge before boarding my flight.
The terminal was under renovation and it was a little confusing locating the lounge. The access is available in the middle of the construction zone via elevator from the terminal.
I located the elevator and took it one floor up to the lounge. When I entered there were two colleagues present and three other guests waiting in line.
The line moved quickly and when I reached the front of the line, the colleague smiled, made eye contact with me and welcomed me and requested my membership card. I presented my Priority Pass card as well as my identification card. The agent processed the Priority Pass and printed a slip that she requested that I sign. After I signed it she provided a receipt of my visit for my records and she thanked me and welcomed me into the lounge. The colleague asked if I had been to the lounge before. I said that had and she welcomed me back.
The Board Room at LAX has one main room with several leather chairs with side tables. A self service food area was provided on one side of the room. Around the corner from the main area, there is a hosted bar.
There is also a window that overlooks the tarmac and terminal.
The lounge was busy with activity and there were only a few chairs left when I arrived. The lounge was, however, clean and colleagues were circulating to clean as guests departed.
The chair I selected was comfortable and I was able to relax for a few minutes before my flight.
The self service food area offered a selection of bagels, yogurt and snack mix. There was a gourmet coffee machine that served Starbucks beverages. There were also favor syrups available near the unit so you could customize your beverage. A Coca-Cola machine was also present and it offered self service sodas and juices.
The bar area was clean and the bottles were arranged neatly.
The glasses, plates, and coffee mugs were all clean and they were stacked neatly near the food areas.
The lounge features a pancake machine that served small pancakes. The machine was easy to operate and only requires you to push the button on the front and place a plate to the right side of the machine. I pressed the button and within about one minute two pancakes were dropped onto the plate. Syrup was available to the side of the machine.
I utilized the coffee machine to prepare a mocha for me. The lounge offered clear glass coffee mugs for the hot beverages.
The pancakes were served hot. The pancakes were small and they had a slightly sweet taste. The syrup was fresh and it also had a good taste.
The mocha was served hot. The mocha had a good espresso flavor which was rich. It had a mild chocolate taste and the milk was creamy.
The lounge had the classic airport lounge feel and it reminded me of a board room with the use of brown colors.
When I departed the lounge, a colleague at the front desk smiled and made eye contact with e and she wished me a good day.
I enjoyed the visit to the Alaska Board Room. I felt that the colleagues at the front desk were friendly and polite and they welcomed me warmly. It was nice that I was able to make pancakes. That offering in the Board Room is unique and it is appreciated. I would return in the future to this lounge.
