American Los Angeles Minneapolis
This post is a review of American Airlines Los Angeles Minneapolis.
This post was written by a colleague of mine who recently took a business trip to Tokyo.
My colleague is an Executive Platinum member on American Airlines. His flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis got upgraded about two days prior to departure.

Ground Experience
The flight departed from terminal 4. Many flights were departing around the same time near the gate so the area was busy with activity.
There was an arrival ceremony put on by the USO at an adjacent gate. The area was festive with people with signs as well as many people dressed in Red White and Blue. Signs indicated that it was welcoming home Veterans that participated in the 75th Anniversary of the Pearl Harbor tragedy.
Flight Attendant Experience
The lead flight attendant on the flight was one of the best flight attendants that I have experienced in the American system. The flight attendant was attentive throughout the flight, from the time of boarding where she offered pre-departure beverages to the meal service in flight. The flight attendant went above and beyond the norm. The service level on this flight far exceeded that of Business Class on both the flights between Los Angeles and Tokyo and Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Aircraft
The aircraft was a 737 that featured overhead video, WiFi Streaming video with all the programming complimentary. Power outlets were available at each seat in the forward cabin.
Flight Attendant
The flight attendant in the first class cabin was one of the best flight attendants that I have seen in the American Airlines network. She provided an amazing service from boarding to departing. She made all the guests feel welcome and she anticipated what everyone needed. The experience could have been international first class for the level of service that she provided.
Meal Service
The meal options on the flight were a choice between a petite filet of beef or lasagna.
Both entrees were served with salad, large shrimp cocktail and a choice between three types of bread.
I selected the filet. The filet was served hot. The filet was cooked to medium and it still had some hint of pink inside. The steak was served next to asparagus and a roasted onion.
The salad was fresh and it included peppers, lettuce and tomatoes. Two large shrimp were provided with a lemon garnish and a side of coleslaw.
Dessert was cookie dough ice cream with chocolate shaving on top.
Overall
The flight was an excellent way to conclude the business trip. The flight attendant was amazing and I hope to have her on another flight in the future. The service was top notch and it was even better than the service received in business class on the flight to and from Tokyo. The meal was excellent as well.
