Chicago Business Trip Introduction
This is a Chicago Business Trip Introduction post where I cover a two day trip to Chicago.
Background
I was invited to attend a finance training class for my company which was located in Chicago.
The training would take place in the city over two days.
I would have a limited time to explore the city as the schedule was pretty intense.
I recently went to Chicago for an Epic Weekend. You can read about that here.
For this trip, the report will focus on the flights, hotel and lounge experience.
If you are looking for activities for your stay in Chicago, I’d suggest consulting the Lonely Planet Chicago guide for some awesome options.
Have you traveled to Chicago recently? What did you do while you were in the city?
Booking
As this was a work trip, my work booked my airfare and hotel for the trip as well as handled the registration for the training conference.
Airfare to Chicago is normally inexpensive from Minneapolis as you can fly non-stop on American, Delta, United, Southwest and Spirit. In this case, the airfare was $171 for the three-day trip.
The conference was scheduled to be at the Crown Plaza Chicago West Loop hotel, which is located near Greek Town in Chicago. The hotel was available for a rate of $179.
