American Airlines Admirals Club Chicago L
This post covers my visit to the American Airlines Admirals Club Chicago L terminal.
Location
The lounge is located just to the side of security at the entrance to the L gates at ORD Airport. It is one of several clubs at the airport in Chicago.
This lounge is smaller in size but it looks like it was recently updated with a light color scheme.
Setup
The lounge is made up of one long hallway with several sectioned off areas which overlooked the gates.
At the back of the lounge, there was a hosted bar. The bar offered all complimentary items including sparkling wine.
The bar had seats around it as well as tables and chairs along the back and side.
A small food station was available along the main hallway.
Restrooms were available within the lounge.
The activity level was low during my visit.
Arrival
I approached the reception desk and found two agents and two guests present. After waiting for a minute or so, an agent invited me to the desk.
I provided my Citi Executive Card, which offers Admiral’s Club access. The agent greeted me using my name and she welcomed me to the lounge.
The agent asked if I visited that lounge before. I said no and she provided a brief introduction and she offered the WiFi code. The agent offered assistance with my reservation and she confirmed the time of departure and the gate. The agent welcomed me into the lounge and she wished me a good day.
Food Options
The lounge offered vegetables, crackers, dip and salad as well as cookies and snack mixes.
Tomato soup was available as the only hot option.
The food was all fresh in appearance and it was stocked well.
All of the items at the snack bar were labeled.
The dishes, glasses and utensils were in good condition.
I selected green beans and tomatoes from the buffet.
The tomatoes were fresh and there were several colored options. The green beans were crispy and fresh and they had a good taste.
I approached the bar and the bartender greeted me and offered to prepare a drink.
I requested sparkling wine and he thanked me and he poured a glass into a flute and offered additional assistance. After I declined, he thanked me and he wished me a good day.
The wine was fresh and it was served chilled in a clean glass. The wine was Lunetta Prosecco and it was served in an individual split.
Departure
When I was ready to depart the lounge, the bartender thanked me when I walked by. In addition the agent at the reception desk thanked me as well and she wished me a good flight.
Overall
The lounge visit was enjoyable and I was able to catch up on some work while I relaxed and enjoyed a glass of Prosecco. The lounge was quiet with activity throughout the visit. The tables and chairs were comfortable. The food options were good overall. The agents and staff were welcoming and polite. I would return to this lounge again in the future.
