PGA Golf Lounge Ikes Breakfast

This article is PGA Golf Lounge Ikes Breakfast. It is about my experiencing accessing the Priority Pass PGA Golf Club Minneapolis airport to access a meal at Ike’s.

The review is part of my San Diego Spring Experience.

Access

I accessed the PGA Golf Lounge Ikes Breakfast thanks to my Priority Pass membership that I receive through the Citi Prestige Card.

With Priority Pass, you receive a $15 voucher at the PGA Golf Lounge that is good at Ike’s, Rock Bottom and French Meadow, which are located within the same vicinity at the Minneapolis airport.

If you travel with a guest and check in at the PGA Lounge, you both receive a $15 voucher.

If you have the American Express Platinum Card you can also access the Escape Lounge at MSP.

Location

The lounge is located in the mall area of the Minneapolis airport near the C gates and is above Ike’s restaurant.

To access the lounge, you take the staircase to the left of Ike’s.

Arrival

Upon arrival in the PGA Golf Lounge, an agent welcomed me and my guest and processed my Priority Pass Card, verified my boarding pass and my identity.

The agent asked if I was familiar with how the lounge access worked and she explained that the $15 credit could be used within the lounge itself on food and drinks or golf experience. She also said I could use it at Ike’s, Rock Bottom and French Meadow.

The agent thanked me and welcomed me into the lounge.

The lounge is limited in seating and amenities, so I went downstairs to have breakfast at Ike’s in the main dining room.

Ike’s Breakfast Experience

After waiting for about four minutes a host greeted my guest and I and offered to seat us.

Once at the seat, menus were provided.

The server greeted us a few minutes later and offered to take our order.

The Priority Pass credit from PGA Golf Club Minneapolis can be used for $15 towards the menu. It does not include gratuity.

I ordered a breakfast burrito. My guest ordered the salmon eggs scramble.

Ike’s Setup

Ike’s is a medium sized restaurant with large booths throughout a room.

The table was setup neatly with napkins and flatware already at the table.

The menu offered a variety of breakfast items and had light options as well.

Breakfast

The breakfast was served about 10 minutes after I ordered.

The server provided the entrée and asked me to enjoy.

The breakfast burrito was served hot. The burrito was made with eggs, sausage and potatoes, wrapped in a burrito.

The eggs were fresh and the sausage had a tangy flavor.

The dish was served with a side of fruit and salsa. The fruit was chopped up into small pieces and it had a good taste. The salsa went well on the burrito.

My guests entrée was also fresh. The eggs were excellent and the salmon had a great taste. It was served wish hash browns and toast.

The server did not check back with me during the visit.

About five minutes after we finished the entrées, an assistant removed the plate from the table.

The server provided a check a couple minutes later. The total for the two entrees was $27.42.

I used the Priority Pass voucher for $30 off the bill. I also left a cash tip for the server.

Departure

After we paid the bill with the Priority Pass voucher, an assistant thanked us and wished us a good day.

The host at the entrance also thanked us and wished us a good day.

Overall

The experience was good overall. It was a bit surprising that there was no follow up after the meal was served. In addition, since it was an airport location, I am surprised that the check was not automatically provided so that guests on a tight time frame could have been assisted. It is a nice option that the PGA Lounge MSP Airport offers the food and beverage credit which can be used in airport restaurants. The food was good overall and it was a nice breakfast.
