My sailing on Celebrity Solstice was an amazing experience!
This article covers the six amazing things that I experienced sailing to the Mexican Riviera on Celebrity Solstice.
I sailed on Celebrity Solstice in November, 2022 on a seven-night sailing to the Mexican Riviera with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada and Puerto Vallarta. Throughout the year, Celebrity Solstice offers various itineraries on the West Coast including the one I was on as well as sailings to Coastal California and to Alaska!
In 2023 you can also sail on Celebrity Solstice on a special Celebrity Presidents Sailing to Alaska with Captain Kate as the host on June 23, 2023.
Booking
I booked a balcony cabin on Celebrity Solstice under the Indulge Package which included Premium Wi-Fi, Premium Drinks and gratuities as well as $600 in onboard credit. That package is no longer available; however, you can currently book the All-In Package that includes Basic Beverages and Basic Wi-Fi package as well as gratuities.
I booked the cruise in the Indulge package at a cost of approximately $3,500. I used the Celebrity Move Up program and bid on an Aqua Class room for a cost of $120. The bid was accepted a couple weeks before the sailing. The upgrade gave access to the thermal suite of the spa and dining in Blu, the exclusive dining room for Aqua Class passengers.
I flew to Los Angeles the night before the sailing using miles and points and stayed at a hotel near the port also using miles and points.
The total cost of the cruise was approximately $3,620.

Six things that I loved about Sailing on Celebrity Solstice
Here are six things that I loved about my experience sailing Celebrity Solstice to the Mexican Riviera!
1. Three nights of amazing Silent Disco battles
The first thing I loved about the cruise was that there were three Silent Disco battles on the sailing.
Silent disco is a unique experience where everyone wears wireless headphones and dances to their favorite tunes. There were three different channels that you could pick from. It was fun switching between the channels and singing and dancing to the music.
2. Awesome Aqua Class Balcony Cabin Room
The second thing I loved about sailing on Celebrity Solstice was the awesome Aqua Class Balcony Cabin that I was assigned!
As I previously mentioned, I booked a standard balcony and put in a small bid on the Move Up program which was accepted which got the upgraded room and experience.
The Aqua Class Balcony Cabin Room was spacious and comfortable, with a private balcony that provided a stunning view of the ocean.
The room was equipped with a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a luxurious bathroom with cool shower spa jet system.
3. Fun port experience in Cabo San Lucas
The third thing I loved about my sailing on Celebrity Solstice was the port experience in Cabo San Lucas.
Cabo San Lucas was one of the stops on the itinerary, and it did not disappoint. I got to watch dolphins playing in the water as the ship was anchoring off Cabo which was an amazing experience.
Once I was ashore, I went on a tour on a boat that visited the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas. It was awesome seeing the famous arches!
You can book the boat tour or many other options in Cabo via TripAdvisor or Expedia.
4. Amazing food in Blu, the Aqua Class Dining Room
The fourth thing that I loved about my cruise on Celebrity Solstice was the food in Blu, the Aqua Class Dining Room.
The food and service in the dining room was incredible. We were able to have the same serving staff each night of the voyage and they made for a personalized experience that we loved. The food was excellent, and it was a great highlight of the experience.
I also loved getting coffee in Cafe al Bacio. The barista’s were excellent and they always made me feel welcome!
5. Incredible entertainment in the theater with amazing Broadway production shows
The fifth thing that I loved about sailing on Celebrity Solstice was the entertainment in the theater including three production shows.
The entertainment on the Celebrity Solstice was top-notch. I was amazed by the Broadway production shows, featuring talented performers and stunning sets.
6. Fun cruise director and entertainment staff
The sixth thing that I loved about my cruise on Celebrity Solstice was the cruise director and entertainment staff.
The cruise director on the sailing was Kelly. Kelly was friendly, engaging, and always on hand to ensure that everyone had a great time.
The cruise director and staff organized a variety of activities throughout the day and night, from trivia contests to dance parties, and made sure that everyone was entertained.
Kelly even joined the captain one evening to participate in the flair bartending show!
Celebrity Solstice
In conclusion, sailing on the Celebrity Solstice to the Mexican Rivera was an unforgettable experience. The Silent Disco battles, Aqua Class Balcony Cabin Room, fun port experience in Cabo San Lucas, amazing food in Blu, incredible entertainment in the theater with amazing Broadway production shows, and fun cruise director and entertainment staff made it an exceptional trip. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone looking for an unforgettable vacation.
