Icon of the Seas
Royal Caribbean’s newest and the world’s largest cruise ship is Icon of the Seas. The ship will offer so many new experiences in various neighborhoods and entertainment areas on the ship.
The new ship arrived in Miami early in the morning on January 10, 2024 ahead of media sailings and the naming ceremony.

Welcome Party
Icon of the Seas was welcomed to Miami with numerous tug boats, fire boats and other boats spraying water along the ship to welcome her to her homeport of Miami.
In addition, fans and guests of the ship were invited to a big welcome party at the Perez Art Museum Near the Port Area!
Many gathered with signs and shouts to welcome the ship to Miami!
Crew members were lining the public decks waiving to the guests on the shore.
Mascot
Royal Caribbean has a new mascot for the ship and crew and they introduced Rover, the Chief Dog Officer to the world via Instragram.
The dog will live on the ship with the crew and bring delight to crew and passengers.
Crew Party
Prior to Icon’s arrival in Miami, Royal Caribbean hosted a crew party on Perfect Day at Coco Cay were the crew got to experience the new Hideaway Bay, the adults only party on the island.
The crew had fun and games on Royal Caribbean’s private island where they could relax before the first passengers board the ship.
It was a nice treat for the crew that work so hard on the ship to get a day at Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
Naming Ceremony
Icon of the Seas will officially be named on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in a special ceremony in Miami.
The godfather of the ship is Messi! Messi is a famous soccer star and an icon who has the honor of officially naming the ship.
Royal Caribbean will be hosting various media and travel agents on the ship prior to the naming ceremony.
The first official sailing for regular guests is on January 27, 2024.
I will be joining the ship on the January 27. 2024 sailing and look forward to experiencing all that Icon as to offer.
