AA Lounge DFW D

I had a short layover in Dallas Fort Worth before my flight to Shanghai so I made a quick stop in the Admirals Club in the D terminal. This is the club utilized for international flights; however, it is a regular lounge and does not offer additional food or drink options.

I checked in at the front desk and was greeted by a friendly agent. I presented my boarding pass and the agent used my name and welcomed me to the club. The agent presented a beverage ticket for a premium drink as I am Executive Platinum and American offers these tickets prior to international flights at all the club locations.

I took the elevator up to the club and found the level to be medium.  Several seats were still available so I took a seat before walking over to the bar area.

The bartender greeted me politely and welcomed me. I requested a specialty drink which was a Chipotle Mojito. The bartender said that they were out of the Chipotle seasoning but she could make a regular Mojito. I declined as I was interested in trying the Chipotle one. The colleague offered a different drink and I ordered a Kettle One Vodka and Cranberry.

The drink was strong and it was served with a  lime garnish. The colleague thanked me and asked me to enjoy my day.

I took a seat and did some plane watching for a few minutes before an announcement was made that boarding was starting for the flight.

I reviewed the food options and they included various breakfast items including a variety of bagels sweet rolls, fruit salad, yogurt and snack mixes.

As I departed the club an agent thanked me and wished me a good flight.

The lounge was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed the views of the aircraft. Several 777’s were present including a 77W. The two 787’s that were present that morning were not visible from the club.
