The Seoul trip started off with another early morning at Minneapolis airport. This time with a 5:00 AM departure to Dallas Fort Worth.

I checked in the night before using my phone and surprisingly I was issued a boarding pass without having to see agent. I did receive a message that I would need to see an agent to get a paper boarding pass for the JAL segment but the e-boarding passes were issued for the first two flights.

I arrived at the airport about an hour and 10 minutes before the flight. At that time only one security line is open and the line was quite long.

My flight was upgraded at the 100 hour mark so I was able to use the first class side of the security line. The line did not offer TSA pre-check; however, I was able to go through security in less than 10 minutes.

After going for a brief walk around the airport, I proceeded to the gate where I asked about getting a copy of my JAL boarding pass. The agents were friendly and helpful but they were unable to print the boarding pass at that time.

Boarding began about 30 minutes before the flight and it was relatively quickly.

I located my seat and stored my backpack. The flight attendants greeted me when I arrived on the plane and they were welcoming. No pre-departure beverage was offered.

The boarding process was efficient and the airplane was fully boarded by 4:55 AM.

The airplane departed the gate on time and made a quick taxi to the runway before taking off.

Once in the air, the Captain welcomed everyone aboard and informed us about the route and the weather.

The flight attendants entered the cabin about 25 minutes into the flight and offered a beverage. I requested orange juice. The flight attendant provided the orange juice quickly.

Once all the passengers received their beverages, the flight attendant passed out a snack basket with bananas, cinnamon bread, apples and fig bars.

I selected a banana and cinnamon bread.

The banana was fresh and it was sweet and had a good taste. The cinnamon bread was also sweet and it was soft and had a good taste and flavor. The orange juice also had a good taste.

The flight attendant checked back with me several times during the flight and offered an additional beverage before my first was empty.

The flight was operated by a 737 in the old American livery. The aircraft was clean. The seat was comfortable and I was able to recline the seat.

I watched the overhead NBC video programming and watched an episode of Chicago Fire followed by some short programming. The audio and video quality was good.

The flight was a quick two hours, and about 20 minutes before landing the Captain made an updated announcement about landing and the weather. The flight attendants provided connecting gate information.

The plane landed smoothly and had a short taxi to the gate.

The flight attendants thanked me as I departed the plane.

The flight arrived in the A terminal and my departing flight was in the A terminal as well so I made a quick trip to the Admirals Club where the agent was able to print me JAL boarding pass.

Overall the flight was uneventful and it was relaxing. I look forward to the remainder of the trip.
