Date: September 27, 2015
Flight: American Eagle 4226
From: Atlanta (ATL)
To: Miami (MIA)
Aircraft: E175
Seat: 1A
My flight to Miami was operated by American Eagle on an E175. I approached the gate area about five minutes before the scheduled boarding time. The boarding area had a lot of people standing to wait to board the flight.
Boarding began 20 minutes before the scheduled flight time.
When I reached the front of the line, the gate agent asked me to scan my boarding pass. After I scanned it she thanked me and wished me a good flight.
I entered the plane and took a seat. The aircraft is a regional jet in a 1-2 configuration in first class and a 2-2 configuration in the main cabin. My seat was 1A.
The flight attendant greeted me shortly after I was seated and she offered me a beverage. I requested water and she provided it immediately. The flight attendant greeted the other guests.
During the boarding process, the flight attendants had to ask a lot of the passengers to check their bags and there was a limited amount of space available. It seemed more than normal.
The boarding was efficient and the door was closed on time. There was about a 10-minute taxi before the plane was in the air.
Once in the air, the flight attendants greeted the guests and offered a beverage to each guest. The flight attendant also passed around a snack basket while the drinks were being prepared. Another flight attendant prepared the drinks. Once all the guests were served, the other flight attendant returned to the main cabin.
I ordered a vodka cran-apple and selected a bag of potato chips from the basket.
The flight attendant served the beverage shortly and she was noted to circulate the cabin to offer additional drinks.
The flight attendant made conversation with a few of the guests in the cabin and she was attentive.
The aircraft was clean and the flight was good overall.
I enjoy seat 1A on this aircraft as there is a lot of leg room and the window is at a great position. While we were on the ground in Atlanta I looked out and watched the other aircraft. I also was looking to see any of the Delta Porche car service for elite passengers connecting between flights but I did not see any of those cars driving around. During the flight I looked out the window and enjoyed the view as we prepared for landing in Miami.
Before landing, the flight attendants cleaned the cabin. The flight attendant walked around and provided connecting gate information to each of the passengers in the first class cabin and they made an announcement about the other connection gates,
The flight landed early and there was a short taxi to the gate. As I departed the plane the flight attendant thanked me again and she wished me a good day.
Overall it was a great flight. The aircraft was comfortable and the service was good.
