Miami and Bahamas Trip Report – Introduction
My wife and I love to travel so I planned a birthday celebration for her during her birthday week. We are traveling on American Airlines to Miami.
In Miami, we will stay for one night at the Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami Hotel.
We spent time time relaxing in the city as well as having a great dinner and then watching the Super Bowl in our hotel room.
After relaxing in Miami, we will board the Norwegian Sky for a four-night cruise to the Bahamas.
We have previously been on three other cruises together. We did one other short one and two week long trips. We normally enjoy the week as it gives you more time to relax; however, due to work schedules we elected to go on a shorter one this time around.
The cruise is on one of the smaller ships that leaves out of Miami. The Norwegian Sky operates three night and four night cruises. The itinerary on each is similar in that they both visit the Bahamas. The four night option gives an additional stop in the Bahamas.
For our four night cruise we will be visiting Nassau, Grand Bahama and the cruise line’s private island Great Stirrup Cay. We are excited for the beach day at the private island. In addition, we enjoy Kalik Beer from Nassau as well as the street food conch fritters.
The report will be organized in the following posts:
