Gate Area
I approached the gate area about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for the American Airlines Washington Minneapolis flight.
The boarding area had the majority of seats taken but not very many people were standing waiting.
I located a seat and waited for a few minutes before boarding began.
Boarding
Boarding began about 25 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
I joined the line when my group was called. The gate agent greeted me and asked me to scan my boarding pass. After I scanned it she thanked me and wished me a good flight.
I walked down the jetway and made my way to the plane and my seat.
The boarding process was quick as the plane was not very full for the flight.
Many of the rows only had one person in the entire row.
The door was closed about 10 minutes ahead of schedule and the airplane was pushed back from the gate.
There was a short taxi before the plane was up in the air.
Just after takeoff the plane flew near the Pentagon before turning.
Seat
I was assigned seat 14A, which is a middle seat in the regular economy cabin.
The legroom was limited; however, the seat was otherwise comfortable.
The E175 aircraft offers WiFi streaming entertainment.
No power ports were available on the plane.
In Flight Experience
Once the plane was up in the air, the flight attendants offered a beverage and snack service.
When they reached my seat, I requested a ginger ale and pretzels.
The soda was presented in a cup and the pretzel packet was provided.
The pretzels were fresh.
I worked on my laptop for a while before watching the streaming entertainment.
A variety of movies and television shows were available.
Landing
After about two hours, the plane was prepared for landing in Minneapolis.
There was a short vector around the city before the plane landed.
After a short taxi to a gate, the plane arrived, and I was able to depart.
Overall
The flight was good overall. The aircraft was clean and comfortable, and the Captain gave us a smooth ride over to Minneapolis. The flight attendants were cordial. Overall it was a good experience.
