This article is Virgin Voyages New Itineraries Plus Brilliant Lady Delay. It is about the new cruises being offered by Virgin Voyages as well as a change to the schedule of the newest ship Valiant Lady.
Brilliant Lady Delayed
This week Virgin Voyages announced that Valiant Lady, which will be home ported in San Juan is being delayed. The cruise ship was scheduled to begin sailing in December 2023. Virgin Voyages announced that due to “supply chain, staffing and construction delays” the ship’s debut will be postponed.
The cruise line canceled many sailings on the ship and has not yet disclosed when the new sailings will begin.
Guests who were booked on Brilliant Lady are able to change to other Virgin Voyage sailings around the world or they can get a refund.
New Locations
This week Virgin announced 27 new itineraries which feature 19 new ports of call.
Some of the new itineraries will depart from Portsmouth, United Kingdom and will offer short cruises from the historic British port.
In addition the cruise line announced several Halloween 2023 special sailings on Scarlet Lady for October 13 through November 1. In addition Resilient Lady will offer special holiday sailings in Europe from October 13 through October 31.
There will be special UK sailings from Portsmouth as well as unique South Pacific sailings.
In addition, Virgin will offer a special Transatlantic sailing on Scarlet Lady while she makes her way to Europe for upgrades as well as a short season of sailing there before returning back across the ocean to offer week-long Caribbean sailings November 2024 through Spring 2025.
Virgin Voyages Ships
Currently there are three Virgin Voyages ships sailing. The first is Scarlet Lady, which currently operates from Miami. The second ship is Valliant Lady which currently operates sailings from Barcelona. The third ship is Resilient Lady, which is offering sailings from Athens.
All three of the ships are sister ships and they are identical and offer complimentary specialty dining as well as included items that other cruise lines typically do not include such as fitness classes, soda and basic beverages. Virgin offers a fresh new way of cruising.
