Shanghai VIP Lounge Shanghai Airport –
I returned to Shanghai for my second visit and have put together the following trip report:

Shanghai Trip – VIP Lounge Shanghai Airport –
After clearing immigration and security at the Shanghai airport, I proceeded to the VIP lounge which was located on the upper level near gate 64.
When I arrived, I noted that the lounge was shared with many different airlines as well as it allowed for Priority Pass access.

I approached the front desk and was greeted polity by the agent who asked for my membership card and boarding pass. After I presented it she scanned the card and asked me to sign the device for admittance into the lounge. The colleague stapled a paper stating that they would not announce my flight departure information at the lounge to my boarding pass. The colleague thanked me and she invited me to enter the lounge.
The lounge was setup into two sections, a first class one and business class section. Both sections appeared identical.
The lounge was located in the open air area on the upper level and you could hear all the announcements from the terminal.
The lounge featured several tables and chairs that were decorated in a classic lounge style.
The lounge featured hot and cold food items at a self service bar.
The hot food items included Dim Sum, rice and beef stir fry.
There were also small sandwiches, yogurt and fruit available. In addition, packages of ramen noodles were available as well as small desserts.
The self service bar featured wine, beer, Champaign, sodas and juices.
The food area was setup neatly and the items were signed. The dishes and glasses were clean.
I selected a small cheese cake as well as a glass of Champaign.
The cheese cake was served chilled. The cheesecake had a sweet taste and a good flavor. The cheesecake was topped with fresh fruit. The fruit had a good taste. The portion size was small.
The Champaign was served chilled and had a good level of bubbles. The Champaign had a dry taste.
I relaxed for a few minutes before departing the lounge. When I departed, the colleagues at the front desk thanked me and wished me a good flight.
Summary –
The lounge was good overall. It was a bit annoying that you could hear all of the announcements from the terminal. The area was clean and in good condition and a variety of food items were available. The visit itself was not memorable in terms of the service level or the experience.
