Shanghai Trip Report – Admiral’s Club DFW C20 –
After clearing security, I noted I had about 20 minutes before the scheduled boarding time for my flight.
I approached the Admiral’s Cub in the C terminal which was located near gate C20.
When I arrived there was no other guests waiting in line and one colleague was present near the door.
When I approached the colleague welcomed me and he asked me to scan my boarding pass. After I did the colleague thanked me and he asked for my membership card. I provided my Air Berlin Gold card. The colleague looked at it and said he did not believe it allowed for access. I mentioned that I had been granted access before and that it was Oneworld. The colleague looked up the card on the computer and he apologized and he welcomed me to enter the lounge and provided a drink coupon. The colleague wished me a good day.
I entered the lounge by taking the stairs to the main level. At that level you approach the customer service desk followed by the lounge to either side of the desk.
The lounge featured seating in various sections. There were a variety of chairs and tables that were available in each section.
The lounge was clean and it was in good condition overall. The artwork was also in good condition.
In the middle of the lounge there were two food stations setup offering cereal, oatmeal, bagels and pastries as well as fresh fruit. A coffee machine was located by each buffet area; however, one of them was out of order that morning.
The food was setup neatly and was well stocked. Colleagues were noted to restock the area and keep it clean.
I approached the bar and found one bartender present and zero other guests were standing near the bar. There were a few people seated at the tables and chairs near the bar.
When I approached the bar, the bartender greeted me and offered assistance. I requested a smoothie and presented the drink coupon. The colleague informed me the options and I requested the orange mango one. She provided it and wished me a good day. I utilized the coffee machine near the bar to make a cappuccino.
The orange mango drink was served chilled and it had a good taste and flavor.
The cappuccino was served hot. The espresso had a good taste and flavor.
From the buffet I selected a bowl of cereal and a bagel.
The bagel was a cinnamon raisin one. I utilized the toaster for it and it came out golden brown. The bagel was fresh and it had a good taste. The cereal was fresh and it was Honey Nut Cheerios. The cereal also had a good taste and flavor.
I took a seat at one of the tables in the lounge and ate breakfast.
A colleague approached me while I was at the table and greeted me warmly. She offered to remove my used dishes and I accepted. She thanked me and wished me a good day.
As I departed the lounge there were two colleagues present near the main entrance. Both colleagues thanked me and they wished me a good flight.
Summary –
The visit to the Admiral’s Club in C was enjoyable. It was nice that I was able to have breakfast before my flight. The lounge was clean and comfortable and the colleagues were polite. I felt that the colleague at the check in desk apology was sincere when he noted I was granted access.
