The Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card is one of the best travel cards out there.

This past week, the card benefits just increased as Air France/KLM Flying Blue was added as a new travel partner.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are one of the best point currencies available today as they have so many great partners. You can redeem the points for all three airline alliances as well as a number of hotels and other partners.

The new Air France/KLM Addition comes at a good time as Air France recently announced that the premium cabins on the A330’s will be updated to lie flat seats. I previously wrote about this in the following post:

Air France A330 Business Class Update

Air France also offers an exceptional premium class lounge experience in Paris.

In addition, Air France’s first class product is considered to exceptional. I have recently seen some reviews showing the first class experience to be up their with some of the best in the industry.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to Air France/KLM Flying Blue at a ratio of 1:1.

Experts value Chase points to be worth approximately 1.75 to 2.1 cents per mile.

The addition of the Air France/KLM program to Ultimate Rewards is excellent. Some of the other airline options include Korean Air, British Airways, Singapore Airways, United, Virgin Atlantic. The new option gives more flexibility for redeeming premium cabin travel.

Air France First Class can only be redeemed by Air France/KLM Flying Blue members so this will allow you to transfer enough miles into your Flying Blue account in order to redeem for a luxury travel experience on Air France.

As always, I recommend keeping your points within the Ultimate Rewards program until you have selected an itinerary and know the exact amount of miles required for the redemption. In most cases, Ultimate Rewards transfers are immediate so you can secure your reservation right away.

I’ve previously traveled on Air France in Business on the 380 and felt that it was a good offering in terms of service. Have you experienced Air France in one of the premium cabins? What was your experience.
