American Airlines Minneapolis New York New York Trip Report Introduction

My wife and I recently traveled to New York in December to explore the city and get away for a few days.

Trip Details

The trip included flights on American Airlines, two night’s at the legendary Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York and sightseeing throughout the city.

The trip was primarily booked with miles and points. My wives airfare was using American Airlines miles.

I earn American Airlines miles through everyday spend using my Citi American Airlines Executive Card which grants membership to the airlines lounge as well having many other great benefits.

The hotel stay at the Waldorf Astoria was using two free weekend nights from my Citi Hilton Reserve Credit Card’s sign up bonus. The card also offers free Hilton Gold status and you can upgrade to Diamond status after $40,000 spend on the card each year. You also can earn Hilton points on everyday spend and bonus points on travel purchases.

Where do you like going when you travel to the Big Apple? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. My favorite place is Central Park but the city is full of awesome opportunities.
