Seoul Trip Report – Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge at Tokyo Narita

After clearing security at the transfer area at the Tokyo airport, I was presented with three options for a lounge; JAL First Class Lounge, Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge, or the American Admirals Club. I decided to visit the Cathay Pacific Lounge.

I located the lounge on the upper level near the transfer area.

When I reached the front desk, the agent at the desk welcomed me. The agent asked for my boarding pass and One World Emerald Card. I provided my card and boarding pass. The agent thanked me and she informed me that they did not make announcements for American flights and she suggested that I check the flight status myself to be sure to not miss the flight. The agent welcomed me into the lounge.IMG_2358

The lounge consisted of several rooms with a variety of seating options. There were also showers and restroom facilities as well as a business center with computers and desks for the use of laptops.IMG_2356IMG_2350IMG_2351

The lounge offered several food options including three varieties of noodle soups. In addition, there were a few salads and sandwiches available. Three flavors of ice cream were available as well as cookies and dessert items. The food items appeared fresh.

The bar featured two varieties of beer served with beer machines that turn the glasses while pouring. In addition, there were a few wine options as well as several different types of alcohol with a self dispensing system. Juice, sodas and waters were available. Chilled beer glasses were found in the refrigerators.

I was not hungry as I had a meal on the flight so I had a beer from the beer machine. The beer was fresh and it had a good taste.

I utilized one of the computer desks in the business center and used the internet. The internet speed was good and I did not encounter any issues.

The business center area was quiet are comfortable and it was easy to do work at the desk.

Shortly before my flight, I departed the lounge. There were three agents at the check in desk when I departed. Two of them were helping another guest. The third agent greeted me again and she thanked me and wished me a good flight.

I felt that the lounge was enjoyable. There were plenty of seats available and the area was clean and comfortable. The staff that I encountered were friendly and welcoming. If I had to compare the lounges, I would return to the JAL First Class Lounge as it had more food options, seating as well as a spa facility.
