Amazing Rocket City Adventure Embassy Suites Huntsville
This post is Amazing Rocket City Adventure Embassy Suites Huntsville. This is a hotel review.
Booking
I booked my stay at the Embassy Suites Huntsville using Hilton points that I earned with my Citi Hilton Reserve Credit Card.
Hilton does not offer an award chart anymore; however, the hotel is generally available for about 30,000 points per night.
I booked it for five nights and received the fifth night free via the promotion that Hilton offers for Diamond members.
The nightly rate is generally low but for the conference it was between $200-$300, so I normally would not recommend using points for the stay; however, because I would be in Huntsville for five nights, I decided to use points for the stay to save some cash.

Location
The hotel is located near the Von Braun Center which is the conference center in Huntsville. It is located near a few other hotels.
The hotel is a bit isolated from restaurants and other items so you will either have a long walk to get their or you might be able to get a ride on the hotel shuttle which offers service within a three-mile radius.
Shuttle
Upon arrival at the Huntsville airport, I called the hotel to request a shuttle. The agent informed me the driver had just left the airport but would return in about 30 minutes.
I waited for 45 minutes before the shuttle arrived. The agent welcomed me and assisted with boarding the shuttle. Several other guests were waiting for the shuttle as well.
The shuttle was clean and in good condition. The driver drove cautiously to the hotel and he assisted guests upon arrival.
The drive from the airport to the hotel lasted about 15 minutes.
Check In
I approached the front desk to check in. There were two agents present and five guests were waiting.
After a five-minute wait, an agent invited me to the desk for assistance. The agent welcomed me and she reviewed my identification card and confirmed my method of payment. My Hilton Diamond Status was acknowledged. The agent offered a welcome bag with water bottles and a snack. Key were issued along with a pass for evening reception and breakfast. The front desk agent provided directions to the elevator and wished me a good stay.
Room
I was assigned room 610, which was a king size bed room with a living room that was separate from the bedroom.
The key functioned on the door and I could enter the room without issue.
The room opened into the living area that had a couch, chair as well as a dining room table with three chairs. The table was a bit high for working on a laptop, which made typing a bit uncomfortable.
A small vanity with refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and sink was available in the room.
In addition, a dresser with television and safe was available in the living room.
The bedroom featured a king size bed.
The bedroom also had a television and dresser.
There was a closet in the bedroom with a few hanger’s present.
Two bedside tables were present near the bed.
The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable overall.
I received a welcome amenity bag with two bottles of water, chips and a candy bar in it.
It was a nice welcome touch. I wish the hotel would provide it’s elite members with two additional water bottles each day rather than just the two at check in.
Bathroom
The bathroom featured a large vanity with plenty of room to store my personal items.
The bathroom was clean including the toilet, vanity and shower area.
The shower had good temperature and pressure and the shower head was high enough that I did not have to duck to utilize it.
The bath amenities were present at the vanity and were on the basic side including shampoo, conditioner and lotion.
Housekeeping Service
The room was refreshed each day. The bed was lightly made and the trash was removed from the waste baskets. New towels were provided in the bathroom.
I did not interact with the housekeeping staff during the visit but the room was cleaned neatly.
Breakfast Experience
The hotel offers complimentary breakfast including made to order items.
The breakfast is served in the lobby. A pass was issued to guests to show; however, it was not requested during my visits.
The dining room is setup neatly with regular tables and well as high top tables for sharing.
The food was setup in a buffet area near the entrance to the dining area.
The buffet offered fruit, cereal, breads and pastries for the cold items.
A hot buffet was also available with eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage and pancakes.
A made to order station for eggs and omelets were available. A variety of toppings were provided.
When I interacted with the chef, he was polite and he promptly greeted me to prepare an omelet.
The chef prepared many omelets simultaneously so there was only a short wait each day.
The food was served hot and it was freshly prepared.
The omelets were excellent and it was possible to get egg white options.
The bacon was also excellent and it was crispy and had a good taste.
The biscuits were flakey and they went well topped with gravy.
Coffee, juice and sodas were available from a self-service station.
Staff members were noted to circulate the room to remove used items and to clean off the tables during the visit.
Evening Reception
The Embassy Suites Huntsville offers an evening reception each night for two hours where you can get free drinks and enjoy snacks.
The reception was held next to the breakfast area and there was a bartender who prepared drinks for each guest.
You could have multiple drinks, but each person could only order one drink at a time.
The bartender prepared a specialty drink with orange juice, cranberry and rum.
Beer, wine and mixed drinks were also available.
Some light snacks were setup in the buffet area including vegetables, chips, salsa, cheese, cookies and snack mixes.
The reception was a nice offering at the hotel.
Check Out
At check out, the agent did not inquire about my stay but she efficiently processed the check out and emailed a copy of the folio to me as well as offered a printed copy. The agent thanked me and she invited me back to the hotel.
Overall
The Amazing Rocket City Adventure Embassy Suites Huntsville Hotel stay was good overall. Although the room felt a bit dated, the made to order breakfast and evening cocktail reception helped make the stay enjoyable. It’s crazy the agent didn’t ask about my stay. Fortunately, I didn’t encounter any issues during the stay and it was good overall. The room was clean and comfortable and the housekeeping team members kept it that way throughout the stay.
