Chicago Spring Meeting
This article is Chicago Spring Meeting. It is the introduction to my Chicago Spring Meeting Trip Report.
Chicago Spring Meeting
My Chicago Spring Meeting Trip was scheduled because I had to attend a finance training in Chicago in May where I would receive continuing education for a finance certification that I hold.
Chicago
I love to visit Chicago as it is easy to get to and there are so many great things to do in the city.
Before going to a city, I always check out the Lonely Planet Guide. In terms of Chicago, the guide is an awesome overview of the city.
I liked learning about the different areas of the city and the types of food and attractions found there.
In addition, I never go on a trip before referencing TripAdvisor. TripAdvisor also offers an overview of the city and I can read other guests reviews to help select a hotel and food and beverage options.
In addition, they have a great tool where you can search hotel prices from hundreds of webpages in one spot, which makes booking easy.
Be sure to check out TripAdvisor before your next trip.
Things to Do
Some of the things that I love doing is going up to the Skydeck at the Willis Tower to take in some amazing views of the city.
I love going for walks in the parks and visiting Grant Park to see the awesome fountain.
I enjoy watching the tourists taking their pictures at the Millennium Park bean.
Chicago is a great city for great dishes including an amazing wedge salad from Shula’s.
In addition, it is fun to walk along the lake-shore and take in some amazing views of the city.
I enjoy walking to Navy Pier. It is a great spot to people watch. In addition, the Centennial Wheel is an awesome attraction. The Ferris Wheel offers an amazing view of the city.
Booking
My work booked my flight to Chicago on Delta.
You can fly nonstop from Minneapolis on America, Delta, Southwest and United so prices are generally pretty good.
Have peace of mind by insuring your next trip with Allianz Travel Insurance with affordable plans as low as $17.
Hotel
I stayed at the conference hotel, Sheraton Grand Chicago. The hotel is in a great location and you can walk to the parks, Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier.
The hotel had a cost of about $315 per-night as the conference occurred mid-week during a busy conference week.
The Sheraton Grand Chicago surprised me with a two room suite as well as an awesome welcome amenity.
It was a surprise to receive such a nice room and the welcome amenity was amazing.
Book your next trip: Agoda, Apple Vacations, Booking.com, Edreams, Expedia, Hard Rock Hotels, Hilton, LivingSocial, Loews Hotels, Momondo, Priceline, Radisson Blu, or TripAdvisor.
