Earn Double Points at Hilton
You can earn double points at Hilton this fall. Hilton just opened up the registration for their Hilton HHonors Double Up promotion.
The promotion offers double points for every hotel on every stay.

The promotion is valid for hotel stays September 1 and December 31, 2016.
You must be a Hilton HHonors member and register prior to your stay before earning the double points.
How it works
The promotion offers double base points on all stays within the Hilton Worldwide system.
Hilton calculates the base points using the following formula:
For the Double Up with Double Points promotion, the Bonus Points you earn per night are calculated based on the average nightly folio of your total stay (average nightly folio is calculated by taking the total net folio of your stay during the Promotion Period, divided by the total number of nights of the stay).
Example:
US Net Folio: $1,038.38 x 10 pts per $1 = 10,383 BASE Points
10,383 BASE Points / 7* = 1,483 Average Points Per Night
*(replace 7 with total # of nights of the stay within the Promotion Period)
CALCULATION OF DOUBLE POINTS FOR THIS EXAMPLE:
Double Points is 1 X Average BASE. Therefore, 1 x 1,483 = 1,483
1,483 X 7 (total nights during your stay) = 10,381 BONUS Points
Terms and conditions
Offer valid September 1, 2016, through December 31, 2016 (“Promotion Period”) at any hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio. Hilton HHonors™ members must first register at HHonors.com/DoubleUp prior to completing a stay within the Promotion Period. Registered Hilton HHonors members will only receive Bonus Points for nights completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends. Registered Hilton HHonors members will earn Double HHonors Bonus Points per stay during the Promotion Period. “Double Points” means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. There is no limit to the total amount of Bonus Points that may be earned during the Promotion Period with this offer. However, there are restrictions on the amount of Base Points that can be earned on a single stay at certain brands. See HHonors Terms & Conditions for more details. Bonus Points earned on Base Points do not count toward tier qualification. Please allow six to eight weeks from completion of your stay for points to appear in your Hilton HHonors account.

Good Deal
It is always great when you can earn more miles and points.
From time to time I stay at Hilton properties when a Hyatt isn’t available or is too expensive. It will be nice getting a few extra points for the stays.
Hilton has some great properties that you can redeem free nights including one in the Maldives which is featured in the picture above. So any extra points adding to your account can help you get to a free night.
I wouldn’t cancel existing hotel reservations just to get the bonus points, but if you happen to be staying at a Hilton property now through December 31, 2016, then it will be a nice bonus getting a few extra points.
