Home 2 Suites by Hilton Roseville MN
I recently checked out the Home 2 Suites by Hilton Roseville MN.
You can check out the Travel Advisor review for the hotel here: Home 2 Suites by Hilton Roseville MN.
Visit Roseville MN setup a tour for me at the property.
Location
The hotel is in Roseville, MN which is about 15-20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis.
Hotel Concept
The Home 2 Suites by Hilton is an extended stay type property which features rooms with extra storage spaces, partial kitchens as well as living spaces. The hotels feature laundry rooms, community areas and business centers to help travelers who are on the road for a long time.
Lobby
The lobby includes an outdoor seating area with colorful chairs.
In addition, the indoor lobby also featured a variety of seating areas as well as the business center in the same place.
The reception desk was a standard desk that was setup in a community area. The area had features so you could relax with your colleagues or other guests at the hotel.
A small market was available where you can buy food to prepare as well as snacks and other items.
Breakfast Area
The hotel includes daily breakfast which is available at a buffet.
At the time of the tour, the buffet was not open; however, there were community tables in front of it where you could enjoy your meal.
Pool and Outdoor Area
The hotel features an indoor pool as well as an outdoor area for gathering with a grill.
The coolest feature of those public areas were the blue chairs. I felt that they were a nice twist on traditional hotel chairs.
The outdoor area featured grills that guests could use during their stay.
Fitness Center
A fitness center was available with a variety of equipment and weights.
The laundry facilities are next to the fitness center so you could work out while you were doing your laundry.
The laundry machines were free for guest use. Which was a nice touch.
Guest Rooms
The guest rooms were all large and they had a lot of open space for storage of personal items.
Surprisingly the rooms had queen beds not king size beds as well as single beds. It was interesting that they do not offer king size bed options.
You will notice the open spaces in the above picture. That was for your personal item storage since a lot of guests would be staying for a long time at the hotel.
The room offered a seating area and mini kitchen.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms featured showers with the amenities in bulk containers attached to the wall.
Staff
The staff that I interacted with were friendly and polite. They seemed happy to give the tour and they made me feel welcome. The staff members say that they get a lot of high school and middle school sports teams staying there during the summer when they have games.
Many of the rooms that were occupied had signs on the door indicating what team the kids were on and they were decorated to make the place feel like home for the kids.
Home 2 Concept
I like the idea of the Home 2 Concept. I think it will be awesome for the business traveler that is on the road for a long time and wants to have the comfort of home.
I really liked the blue colored chairs and the public spaces in the hotel.
The areas were clean and everything smelled new.
Perhaps one day I will get an opportunity to stay at the hotel.
Have you stayed at a Home 2 Suites by Hilton property? What were your thoughts?
