Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel
This post is a review of Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel.
Booking
I booked the hotel using the Hilton app. The room was available at a rate of $90.
I selected the location because it was at the terminal which was convenient as I had an early morning departure around 6:00 AM on Sunday.
The plan was to spend all day in the city and then take the train to the hotel at night, sleeping and heading home.
Hotel Location
The hotel is located at the airport and it is accessed via the lower level tunnels which connect to the parking lot, subway and other ground transportation services.
Lobby
I arrived at the hotel and located the lobby. The lobby features a long and narrow hallway mostly taken up by the registration desk. Along the side of the hallway you find meeting rooms and the elevator banks. In addition, more meeting rooms as well as the fitness center were on the lower level near the airport tunnel.
Check In
I approached the desk to check in and joined a line of two other guests. After waiting for about three minutes, I was invited to the desk. The agent welcomed me and she asked for my name, ID and credit card. The agent used my name and she confirmed I had a one night stay at the hotel. I said yes and she thanked me for being a Diamond Member and she provided a bag with two water bottles in it. She also offered breakfast in the morning. I said my flight departed at 6:20 AM and was told that breakfast began at 6. I declined the breakfast and she thanked me. The agent issued keys to the room and she provided directions to the elevator. The agent returned my ID and credit card and she wished me a good stay.
Room
I was assigned room 10036 which was located on the Hilton Honors floor at the top of the hotel.
The key functioned to open the door and I discovered a slightly outdated room with a king size bed.
The bed was clean and the linens were tucked in they were clean. The bed was soft and comfortable.
Two small bedside tables were present that had outlets on the lamp.
Across from the bed was the television which was on a dresser.
In addition, there was a mini bar and coffee station present.
The room featured an oversized chair which overlooked the window.
The window offered a view of the airport check in area and gate area.
A full-size desk with a computer chair was also present in the room.
The bathroom featured a small vanity area with a sink, toilet and standard shower.
The bathroom fixtures were a bit dated but the room was clean and the amenities were displayed neatly.
The amenities were branded Peter Thomas Roth and they had a pleasant scent.
The room was quiet and I could sleep without interruption.
Check Out
In the morning, I returned to the front desk. When I arrived one agent was present and zero other guests were waiting.
The agent welcomed me to the desk and she processed my check out. The agent offered to email the folio and I accepted. She confirmed my email address before thanking me for staying at the hotel. The agent provided directions to the terminal and she invited me back to the hotel. The receipt arrived within a few minutes.
I made my way back to the terminal for my flight using the tunnel to terminal 2.
Overall
The Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel has a great location since it is within the airport. It makes for a great location when you have an early morning flight. In addition, the rate below $100 was comparable to the other airport hotels where you needed to take a shuttle so it was nice being right at the airport. The room was clean and I could sleep without interruption. The staff was polite. Overall the hotel was good for a quick overnight stay.
