American Express Centurion Lounge DFW

This post is a review of the American Express Centurion Lounge DFW Airport.

Lounge Access

I accessed the lounge via my Platinum American Express Card, which offers a variety of benefits including access to the American Express Branded lounges including the Centurion Lounges, Delta Sky Club access when you travel on Delta and Priority Pass Select lounge access for lounges throughout the world. In addition, the card has a travel rebate as well as many other awesome benefits.

Location

The lounge is located in the D Terminal near D17.

The lounge covers a large area on the upper level in the departure area near the mall area.

My wife and I accessed the lounge via the escalators.

Reception

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly agent who welcomed us to the lounge. The agent asked if we visited before. When we said no, she went through the various amenities and answered our questions about the lounge. Once she processed our registration, she welcomed us into the lounge and wished us a pleasant experience.

Lounge Setup

The lounge is setup in two sections, meal area and a business center area.

The meal area included a variety of tables and chairs scattered throughout a large area. Most of the seating was offered on regular tables and chairs; however, there were a few couches and other speciality chairs available.

The business center area was a smaller room with a boardroom like shared table, computer work stations, meeting room areas and a children’s area.

The business center area also featured a mix between regular chairs and oversized couches with sides.

The lounge was nicely appointed. The seating was comfortable and the environment was enjoyable.

Spa

The lounge offers free spa treatments including massages and manicures; however, it did not open until 9:00 AM which was the scheduled departure time so we were unable to utilize the spa on this trip.

You can make an appointment for the spa when you arrive at the lounge.

Food Options

The Centurion Lounge offers gourmet food and snacks.

During our visit, the lounge featured breakfast options including johnny cakes, egg frittata, scrambled eggs, chips, fruit and pastries.

All the food was attractively presented and signs were present noting what each item was.

The food was complimented by coffee, which was offered via a self service machine offering espresso drinks. In addition, brewed coffee was available.

The lounge offered a limited selection of beverages during our visit, with a full bar opening later in the morning. Two sparkling wine options were available for mimosas during our visit.

We both enjoyed breakfast and found the food to be excellent.

We had a split of Prosecco while we relaxed in the lounge waiting for our flight.

Staff Interaction

Throughout our visit to the lounge, several staff members walked by, greeted us and offered us assistance.
After we finished our dishes and plates, they were promptly removed and the team members were proactive in offering assistance.

Departure

When we were ready to depart, the agents at the reception desk both thanked us sincerely and they invited us to return in the future.

Overall

The lounge experience at the Centurion Lounge DFW was excellent. It is a great benefit from American Express for Platinum cardholders. The staff were welcoming and we felt warmly welcomed. The food was gourmet and excellent and it was awesome that we were able to enjoy a split of Prosecco to relax and celebrate the start of our vacation. We look forward to future visits to the lounge.
