American Express Centurion Studio Seattle

This post is a review of American Express Centurion Studio Seattle. The lounge is a studio location and it is not as large as the club I previously reviewed in Dallas. Signs indicated that it would be expanded later in 2017.

Access

I am able to visit the American Express Centurion Lounges thanks to my American Express Platinum Card. The card offers lounge access, Priority Pass memberships and a great travel credit each year.

Priority Pass offers lounges throughout the world and it is a great benefit from the card.

Reception

I approached the reception desk and was greeted by a friendly agent who welcomed me into the club. After I provided my Amex Platinum card, she used my name and she welcomed me back. The agent saw that it was my first time in the lounge and she provided a brief introduction to the lounge before escorting me to a seat.

Once I was at the seat, the agent pointed out the features of the lounge and she asked me to enjoy the environment.

That was a nice touch that the agent escorted me to a seat. It made me feel warmly welcomed to the lounge.

Lounge Setup

The lounge features one room split into three sections. In the center there was a community table along with the buffet.

On each side there were small tables and chairs and well as couches.

In addition, towards the middle of the lounge there were oversized couches that could seat two people.

The decorations were upbeat and the lounge featured a similar color pattern to the one in Dallas. The entryway included the green backdrop.

The lighting fixtures were modern and unique.

Most of the tables and chairs were taken when I arrived, however, there were a few scattered options available around the edges as well as at the community table.

Food Options

The lounge featured limited food including two soups, two sandwiches, two salads and several desserts.

In addition, snack items were available.

A coffee machine where you could make your own espresso drink was available along with a self service drink area.

Craft beers and wines were available from the servers. The list was attached to decorative boards placed at most of the tables in the lounge.

All of the food items were neatly displayed and the containers were maintained. When items were low in stock an attendant quickly refilled them.

Attendants were circulating in the bar area as well and they were polite and offered assistance.

The dishes, glasses and flatware was in good condition.

Lounge Experience

While I was seated an attendant approached me and welcomed me. The attendant asked if I wanted something to drink.

I ordered an amber beer. He said he would be right back; however, the beer was never delivered.

No other attendant greeted me while I was seated.

I selected a Root Beer from the cooler and made a salad from the buffet.

The Root Beer was Jones brand and it was served chilled. The root beer had a good taste.

The salad was fresh and a variety of lettuce was provided along with vegetable toppings.

After I finished the salad, an attendant removed it from the table and he smiled and made eye contact with me.

I used the WiFi, which offered a good speed and was able to do some work for about an hour and a half.

Departure

When I was ready to depart, the attendant at the reception desk thanked me sincerely and she wished me a good evening. The attendant invited me to return.

Overall

I enjoyed the visit to the American Express Centurion Studio Seattle. The lounge offered a comfortable environment despite the fact that it was crowded. The good was fresh and had good flavors and the buffet was setup attractively. It was a bit disappointing that the server never provided my requested beer; however, the other colleagues I interacted with made me feel welcome. I felt that the agent at the reception went out of her way by assisting me with seating initially. I felt like I was a valued guest. I look forward to future visits to this and other Centurion Lounges.
