Location
My wife and I selected the Hampton Inn Philadelphia Great Valley because we had plans to explore some of the surrounding communities to Philadelphia and it provided a good location for that purpose.
The hotel was located about 30-45 minutes from the Philadelphia Airport.
Check In
I utilized the Hilton mobile app to check in and select a room at the Hampton Inn for this stay.
I was originally assigned a room on the second floor, however, I used the app to select a room on a higher floor at the property.
When we arrived at the hotel, no one was at the desk; however, after about 45 seconds, the guest service agent returned to the desk and thanked us for waiting.
The agent welcomed us to the hotel and he processed our registration. After verifying my identity, the agent processed our registration and provided keys. The agent thanked my for my Diamond Level Status and offered a choice of snack items which were displayed at the front desk.
My wife and I requested water and Diet Coke. The agent provided them in a bag and he wished us a pleasant stay.
Room
We were assigned room 504, which featured a king size bed.
The room was recently renovated and it had new tile floor in the bathroom and entry way.
The bed was on a small platform and was located directly next to the bathroom.
The bed was setup neatly and the linens were clean. The pillows were thin and lacked a good comfort level.
We originally thought the room did not have a closet; however, in the morning we discovered it behind the curtain next to the window.
The room also offered a small seating area with a small table that could be used to work on a laptop.
A television was located across from the bed.
There were plenty of outlets in the room near the bed and by the television.
The bathroom was small but featured an updated counter top.
The shower was clean and the water temperature and pressure functioned well.
The hotel had the third floor under renovations during the visit but we were not disturbed by the renovations.
We found the room to be comfortable but it felt a bit small and it was tightly pushed up against the bathroom.
The room offered a view of a green space area, which was pleasant.
Breakfast
Hampton Inn offers breakfast each morning in the area next to the front desk.
The area was setup neatly and we were greeted promptly by a breakfast attendant who assisted us with seating and keeping the room clean.
The breakfast buffet had a variety of items including several hot ones.
The hot items included cheese omelets, Canadian bacon, potatoes, custom made waffles and oatmeal with a variety of toppings.
The chilled items included cereal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, breakfast pastries and breads.
Coffee was available including three varieties along with tea.
Four juice options were also available in the lounge.
I selected a bowl of oatmeal and topped it wish dried fruit and toasted almonds.
The oatmeal was served hot and it had an excellent taste.
I also sampled a cheese omelet and Canadian bacon. The omelet was warm and the cheese was melted well. The eggs were fresh and it had a good flavor. The Canadian bacon was also hot and it was fresh.
Check out
When we were ready to depart the Hampton Inn we approached the front desk to check out. One agent greeted us promptly and offered assistance. After I requested to check out, he inquired about our stay. We said it was nice and he thanked us. He confirmed there were no charges as we used points for the stay. The agent thanked us for staying and he invited us back.
Overall
We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. We found the staff members to be warm and friendly and we really enjoyed our interactions. The room itself was a bit small but it was quiet and the bed was relatively comfortable. It had been some time since I stayed at a Hampton Inn. It was a good visit overall.
